Toowoomba Food Assist

Provides mixed box of groceries for $15, Frozen Pack available for $10 containing 6 to 8 items depending on size, Bathroom Pack available for $10, School Hampers available for $12 containing a mixture of 6 different fruits and packet food.

The Basement

The BASE Youth Centre is a Christian not-for-profit organisation which works with young people aged 10 - 25 in Toowoomba to see them reach their full potential through a variety of activities and programs. Free lunch is offered, no verification needed, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm pm Monday to Thursday)

Lighthouse Cavalry Care

They provide good value food parcels to families in Toowoomba. Cost is $30 per parcel (payment required to reserve order, order must be picked up from New Hope Church on the address below.) Ordering closes Monday prior to delivery. Please contact the centre for more info on parcel pickup times and dates. Parcels include fruit and vegetables, pantry goods and fridge and freezer goods.

Aussie Helpers

Aussie Helpers is a non profit registered charity with some forty volunteers who freely give their time and expertise to help farming families. Aussie Helpers specialize in assisting farming families doing it tough through no fault of their own. Since 2002 Aussie Helpers have helped many thousands of farming families in varying ways, groceries, sporting equipment, personal hygiene goods, presents for children, stock feed and face to face counselling.

Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes provide food packages worth the value of $250.00 dollars, for the cost of a $55.00 administration fee. Packages normally include a mix of fruit and vegetables, meat, milk and dairy products, bread, pastries and sweets, pasta, rice, canned goods, breakfast foods, lunch snacks, juice / drinks and crockery and eggs when available. Everyone welcome, no criteria or Health Care Card required.

Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre

The Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre offers a community lunch, fruit and vegetable packages at $15.00, craft groups, chronic pain education (referral only, no support onsite anymore) and support group, information and referral and a community development worker.

Christ Life Presbyterian Church

They offer a service where you can book for a hot dinner on Tuesday nights before 12 noon. Any leftovers are frozen and may be available for collection during the week (while available).

The Lifehouse

The Lifehouse offers emergency food parcels, clothing & household items via a delivery service to families in need. They deliver between 10:00 - 12:00 noon on Tuesdays. To arrange, please call between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, on Mondays only, as we are closed outside these hours. You must have a concession card and a referral from a local support agency to receive support (eg. Lifeline, Salvation Army etc.) Please provide the name of the referring agency, the name of the person referring you, your contact number and the referral date when applying for assistance. Please only apply through phone. Please note, we do not accept friend or family referrals.
