Queensland Aged and Disability Advocacy / Aged and Disability Advocacy (August 2016)

QADA is funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments to provide information, education and support to enable people to understand and exercise their rights and responsibilities and to resolve their aged care and community care service issues. QADA also offers a guardianship service to support adults with guardianship and administration matters. QADA's services are free, confidential and client directed and operate state-wide in Queensland, with a head office in Brisbane and regional offices in Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton, Hervey Bay, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast. Seniors Legal and Support Service (SLASS)

Provides seniors (aged over 60, ATSI aged over 45) with information regarding elder abuse, financial exploitation, legal information and short term counselling.
Tenancy advice now available.
Offices available in Toowoomba, Roma, Warwick and Ipswich.
Every second Monday night, advisory services from private law solicitors is available by appointments only. 5:30 - 7:00pm Appointments

Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) - State-wide Service.
The Residential Tenancies Authority is a state government statutory body that makes a positive difference to Queensland's residential rental sector. The RTA provides tenancy information, bond management, dispute resolution, investigation, policy and education services.

Tenants Queensland (formerly Tenants’ Union of Queensland) is a specialist statewide community legal service for tenancy law matters and provides a free tenancy law advice service for residential tenants.

Ipswich Regional Advocacy Service Inc. (IRASI) - Ipswich Service
IRASI offers support to community members that are experiencing difficulties relating to a disability or a mental health concern. While we do not provide legal advice, we do offer assistance in communicating with relevant parties and provide support to navigate the processes involved with appearing in court, if needed.

The Advocacy and Support Centre (TASC)

Provides free legal and advocacy support including disability advocacy to people living in Toowoomba and the South-West region of Queensland.

Disability Advocacy Service (DAS)

Provides a free advocacy service to those with a disability in Toowoomba and the South West Queensland. Areas of assistance include, but are not limited to, housing issues, complaints about disability services (government and non-government), transport rights and discrimination.

Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre

The Harlaxton Neighbourhood Centre offers a community lunch, fruit and vegetable packages at $15.00, craft groups, chronic pain education (referral only, no support onsite anymore) and support group, information and referral and a community development worker.
