Broadband for Seniors
East Creek has been successfully running the government funded free
Broadband for Seniors programme for over 12 months.
The programme is popular because clients receive one on one tutoring and can go at
their own pace.
We are one of 2,000 kiosks established across Australia offering seniors regular access
to computers and broadband internet.
The Minister for Housing, Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, Jenny Macklin
has written to thank us for our support and participation in this important initiative and
inform us that the government will invest a further $10.4 million to continue the kiosks.
There are still places available, so if you've been putting off learning how to use the computer,
be assured you'll be given a patient and friendly tutor suited to your needs.
